MYCHANIC’s niche was feature rich garage essentials. I realized there was a missed opportunity (specifically on Amazon) to offer a quality, entry-level shop stool.
I was able to work with Product Development to resuscitate a similar idea they'd discarded.
I asked PD to help ensure the package within the 18” length for Amazon’s Standard Large: a savings of $6.58 FBA fee per unit.
While our stool was still $65 vs the $40 competitors, it shot to the Top 10 in the Amazon category within weeks and sold $200K+ the first year.
